East Anglia University launches courses for international students

University of East Anglia (UEA) is actively looking for talented international students in the field of Health and Life Sciences to study on its 360-acre campus in Norwich.

As countries around the world come to terms with the long-term health effects of an aging population, the demand for high quality healthcare courses at UK universities is increasing year by year for international students. Nursing and adult nursing have grown by 75%, counselling, psychotherapy and occupational therapy by 60% and physiotherapy by 25% by 2019-2021.

INTO UEA – UEA’s on-campus international education partner – is offering an international foundation in Pharmacy, Health and Life Sciences that helps students around the world UEA It offers the opportunity to progress in more than 60 courses.

UEA’s Medicine, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy courses are ranked in the top 15 in the UK by their subject areas, INTO UEA is an ideal springboard for the top health professionals of tomorrow.

Marco from Hong Kong completed his foundation program at INTO UEA in 2019 and secured first place in BSc Physiotherapy from UEA in 2022. He says: “My physiotherapy course provided me with mandatory placement experience in a hospital, allowing me to practice and gain experience for my future work environment.”

Kelly from Hong Kong completed her foundation course at INTO UEA in 2017, moving on to UEA and taking first place in BSc Occupational Therapy before completing her MSc in Clinical Research. She says: “I completed six placements during my full degree, which equates to over 1200 hours of work. It has equipped me with the knowledge and skills I need to become a trusted newly qualified occupational therapist.”

INTO UEA’s on-campus center offers academic preparation courses and English language programs specifically designed for international students. With a specific focus on student success, the courses prepare international students for entry into UK universities.
