Indian Embassy in China asks its students to register

The Embassy of India has asked Indian students in China and those returning to China to register through the shared link to facilitate the consular needs of the students. The embassy said that it would encourage all Indian students to register so that the embassy/consulate can contact them at the earliest for any convenience. On 21 October 2022, the embassy tweeted, “Registration for students who are/currently studying in China. For more details follow the link https://eoibeijing.gov.in/eoibejing_listview/MTE0OA”.

Meanwhile, the page of the Chinese embassy mentions that “Indian medical students have started returning to mainland China to rejoin their respective universities. Indian students in China are requested to ensure timely facilitation of their consular needs. For more details follow the link https://www.eoibeijing.gov.in/student_registration.

Here’s how to register-

  • Visit the link – https://eoibeijing.gov.in/eoibejing_listview/MTE0OA
  • You will be directed to a new page. Read the information on the page.
  • Click on the link on which you have been asked to register.
  • A new page will open wherein you can register with the required details as asked.
  • Click Submit.

The details asked for registration include student’s name, passport number, university, university registration number, batch, expected date of completion of degree, date of admission/withdrawal, state of residence (in India), email ID and phone number . ,

The Chinese embassy also emphasized that only those living in China will have to register and those who have not yet reached China will have to register after their return. “Students who are yet to return to China can fill this form only after reaching China,” it said.
