Ireland has always been present in the list of study abroad destinations for Indian students. Excellent universities and educational facilities encourage Indians to study in Ireland, where Ireland also welcomes Indians with open arms.
In response to this welcome, Ireland recently announced plans to bring together 16 Irish Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for their on-ground education fairs across cities in November 2022, according to an official statement. Mainly scheduled for Indian students, this fair is a very good move by Ireland for Indians.
Talking about the statistics, at present there are about 6,000 Indian students studying in Ireland. Which is a very large part of the total students studying in Ireland.
If you look at the schedule of the fair, the on-ground education fair in Delhi has been scheduled on 19 November 2022. Along with this, it has also been kept in the remaining four major cities of India, in which it is scheduled on November 20 in Pune, November 23 in Mumbai, number 26 in Chennai and November 27 in Bangalore.
The main objective of the fair was to make Indian students interested in Study Abroad aware of the facilities and benefits offered by Ireland. This program and announcement was made keeping in view the academic year 2023-2024.
Barry O’Driscoll, Regional Manager, India and South Asia for Education in Ireland said that this roadshow will be the first roadshow on education in Ireland after the pandemic. It will be about giving students in-depth knowledge about the right course and career prospectus wherein students will be able to interact directly with the representatives of the Irish Higher Education Institution. According to statistics, there are currently 35,000 students from 160 countries studying in Ireland, which includes about 6,000 students from India.
Apart from this, in this education fair, students and their families will be made aware about the entire process of admission, courses, visa process and benefits available to the students after studies. Not only this, a significant opportunity is also included in the benefits of this fair to the international students.
Students will be given a free platform where they can apply directly to the Leading Irish Institution if they wish. Along with this, as there is no third party involved in this fair, students will get full opportunity to get first hand information. In this information, there is every possibility of getting detailed information about courses, admission process, job related information, campus recruitment, scholarships, intake etc.
This move by Ireland will prove to be very beneficial for Indians, which will mainly include fine information exchange and direct application. With this move, not only Indian students but Irish Institutions will also see a lot of growth overall.
