Speaking and writing section in PTE exam is of approximately 70-95 minutes duration with 7 different types of questions asked. This is the longest section. The purpose of this section is to test the speaking and writing skills of the student.

personal information In this section, candidates have to speak about themselves. 25 seconds are given for preparation and 35 seconds for speaking.
read aloud A 60-word text is shown at the prompt which the student has to read aloud. You can record your response only once.
repeat the sentence In this, a recording of a sentence is played in the student’s headphones and the student has to repeat it clearly.
retell the lecture In this, a recording of a lecture is played into the student’s headphones and the student is asked to say out loud what they think about it.
describe the image In this, the student is shown a photo on the prompter for about 40 seconds, which has to be explained. The student is given 25 seconds to prepare.
answer short question In this, the students have to answer the questions in one or few words.

PTE Exam Fee

The standard fee for the PTE exam is INR 13,700. If the student is late in applying due to any reason and applies 48 hours before the date of examination, then PTE late booking fee will have to be paid. If the student after registering cancels the registration 14 days before the exam, then he gets full refund of the fee. 50% refund is given to the student for cancellation less than 14 days, while the fee is not refunded to the student who cancels before 7 days.
