About TBJEE
TBJEE is a state-run institution that is responsible for conducting state entrance exams for higher education. The main objective of this institution is to ease the burden on the students to fill the forms of different colleges, sit for different exams and pay the application fee every time they apply for a course. With the establishment of TBJEE on 7th April 1989, the entire process of application, examination and selection became more transparent, hassle free and affordable for both the students and the government.
Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination
TBJEE conducts TJEE in three groups, which are listed below:
- Group A – For candidates who wish to pursue engineering and technology, they must appear for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics papers of TJEE.
- Group B – Candidates interested in Veterinary, Agriculture, Fisheries, Paramedical Veterinary, Agriculture, Fisheries, Paramedical must appear for Physics, Chemistry and Biology papers of TJEE.
- Group C – other courses
For candidates wishing to pursue other available courses, they must appear for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics papers of TJEE.

TBJEE Eligibility
Before applying for any course, it is recommended to check the eligibility criteria. If a candidate fails to satisfy the eligibility then he/she is not allowed to appear in the examination.
- Candidates must be a citizen of India.
- Candidates must be a permanent resident of Tripura State or have been continuously for at least 10 years.
- Candidates must have passed the Joint Entrance Examination or equivalent examination in the Higher Secondary Examination of Tripura Board of Secondary Education / Central Board of Secondary Education with the subject or relevant subjects from the course they wish to pursue.
- Candidates of All India Service Officers born in Manipur-Tripura cadre and children of State Government employees posted outside Tripura are eligible for TBJEE.
- Candidates who do not reside in Tripura but their parents are Tripura Government/Central Government Officers for more than 3 years are also eligible.
Seat Allotment and Matrix for TJEE
Seats are reserved for the following categories as per the rules and norms of Tripura State:

- physically handicapped
- children of ex-servicemen
- Reservation percentage is decided by the state

TBJEE Application Process
The application process is open and candidates can apply for it. The application process of TBJEE is as follows:
- Visit the official website of TBJEE.
- Enter your email address and mobile number.
- You will receive an OTP, after entering that OTP you will get a reference ID.
- Fill the TBJEE application form, enter your personal information and educational qualification.
- Upload Required Documents (Photo & Signature)
- Select the course you want to choose and the university.
- Pay the application fee to complete the application process.
- Take a printout of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.

Some important things to keep in mind while applying for TBJEE exam are as follows:
- Do not misplace the reference ID which is used for future reference.
- SC/ST candidates have to upload the caste certificate within 30 days of registration.
- Candidates will not be able to make changes in the application form after the payment of the application fee.
TBJEE Admit Card
Candidates can download their admit card by following the steps:
- Visit the official website of Tripura JEE.
- Find the link stating “Tripura JEE Admit Card 2022”.
- Enter your registered email id and password along with the verification code.
- Click on “Submit”.
- Admit card will appear on the screen. Download and print the admit card.
TBJEE Result
TBJEE announces the results of TJEE after successfully conducting the exam on its official site tbjee.nic.in. Candidates can check their result online by logging in using their credentials provided at the time of application. After the declaration of the result, the merit list is released by TBJEE of the eligible candidates for counselling.
TBJEE Counseling
After the declaration of result by TBJEE, the counseling process begins. Candidates should keep the following documents ready for counselling:
- 10th and 12th admit card.
- Marksheet of 10th and 12th.
- PRTC (not citizenship certificate) / other certificate as proof of residence.
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST/PWD)
- Ward of Ex-Servicemen Certificate
