Under the UK-India Young Professionals scheme, the UK will offer 3,000 places for Indian nationals aged 18-30 to live and work for two years.
The Rishi Sunak-led UK government has approved 3,000 visas every year to live and work in the UK for up to two years.
A statement from the UK Prime Minister’s Office said that the UK has more ties with India than with any other country. Almost a quarter of international students in the UK are from India and Indian investment in the UK supports around 95,000 jobs.
According to UK Home Office data, there has been an 89 per cent increase in the number of Indian students receiving UK student visas this year compared to the previous year, until June 2022. This 89 percent is approximately 118,000 Indian students.
