About Priyamvada Birla Scholarship

Priyamvada Birla Scholarship is for those candidates whose family annual income is less than INR 75,000. Only students belonging to such families can apply. The total amount of the scholarship is INR 24,000 per annum. It is awarded every year to thirty deserving candidates to meet their tuition fees, boarding fees etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Following are the eligibility criteria for getting Priyamvada Birla Scholarship-

Current Course Details
Students who have completed any full time degree course (Bachelors) in General Discipline (BA, B Sc, B Com etc), Technical Courses (B BA, BCA, LLB etc), Engineering (BE, B Tech) and Medicine (MBBS, BDS) ) in West Bengal, they can apply for Prayavanda Birla Scholarship 2020 in the first year of the course.

Students whose family’s collective annual income from all sources is INR 75,000 or less are eligible to apply for Priyamvada Birla Scholarship. B PL card holder students have to present the copy of the card along with the application form.

Age Range
Applicant’s age should be 25 years as on 4th July 2020. There is no minimum age limit for the applicant for this scholarship.

Merit Criteria
Applicant should have passed Higher Secondary Test (10+2) from State Board/Assembly, CBSE, ICSE, IB Board.

Other criteria
Applicants of this scholarship should not be related to any kind of external agency or office. However, students receiving paid Inter or completing assignments of an institute are not considered employees.

  1. Under the scholarship program, students will be given a total of INR 24,000 per year to cover their course fees, hostel expenses, etc.
  2. The scholarship number will be given to the candidates till they complete their course i.e. for a maximum period of four years.
  3. To get the scholarship, it is necessary that the student should pass all the semesters/years in the first attempt and obtain the mandatory percentage/CGPA in every semester/year.

First year/semester students of the course after passing the Higher Secondary Test can apply for Priyamvada Birla Scholarship 2020. The application process is currently ongoing online.
